The Friendly Fishery

The Brickfield  Pond is a former working Clay Pit situated in the centre of the seaside resort of Rhyl.
The Lake is approx 9 acres in size and forms part of a Denbighshire County Council managed nature reserve.
Aquatic wildlife  is abundant and the tranquil surroundings are enjoyed by Photographers, Bird Watchers as well as the Anglers and casual walkers.
Free car parking is available via the Ffordd Derwyn side of the lake, with ample spaces including disabled bays, however this car park is locked over night, usually dusk till dawn.
Please also note, No toilets are available on site nor is any drinking water available.
There are 16 fishable pegs on the lake which are the only permitted places from which you can fish.  3 of the swims could be considered double pegs and 2 are designated pegs for wheelchair access.  The fishing on the lake is under the control of the Brickfield Angling Club and is managed as a mixed course fishery.  The stock includes Perch, Tench, Pike, Ruff, Rudd, Roach, Eels as well as a good head of Common and Mirror Carp up to 29lb
